At the present time I have 5 horses. I am looking for "That Perfect Horse" and still haven't quite found it!
Hannah is a 22 year old registered AQHA sorrel mare who is the perfect lesson horse. She is very very sweet and seems to know that when someone is riding her who doesn't know, then she has to be extra obedient. She is working out wonderfully for lessons and I was fortunate to find her. She also has a fabulous pedigree!
Mystique is my half dream horse (half only because she is only a half-Andalusian) She is gorgeous and has the sweetness and temperament to match. My big hopes for her are to train her for dressage and show her in that. For now I'm happy just to ride her, groom her and look at her.
Casper is a 9 year old double registered paint/pinto mare who is one of my prime lesson horses. She was trained for Western Pleasure and shown in halter classes. She is a sweet horse and an awesome lesson horse. Very well trained and fun to ride.
Glaze is a small Appaloosa mare that I aquired to add to my lesson horse string. She is young and doesn't quite know enough yet but I think she will be great with some more miles under her. She is a red roan appaloosa.
And then there is Bela the beautiful black pony that belongs actually to my son. He loves riding her around the field and arena. She might be having a baby this spring! We are excited about that.

I was born and raised in Brazil, South America and grew up in the steamy jungles of the Amazon. Somehow I managed to buy my first horse at the age of 14 and have had, raised, trained, ridden horses ever since then. Many horses have passed through under these legs! I have many adventures of jungle riding to tell including seeing wild jaguars, monkeys, snakes, coatis, and inumerous other beautiful birds, buterflies and animals. Not to mention fording swampy creeks, riding for hours in the jungle, almost getting lost many times and many other exciting stories that most people can't even imagine! I even found the end of a rainbow once! Bet you didn't think that was possible! I didn't either until it happened to me! Maybe I need to write a book!
I am in search of "that perfect horse" (isn't everyone?) I still haven't found it although I sure am looking, maybe one day I'll come across it. In the meantime I'm enjoying the ones I have.
Occasionally I have a horse or two that aren't serving my purpose and I will find them new homes, but I try to be very careful in who I sell them or trade them to, because really, my first concern is for the well-being of the horse. I also love to rehabilitate skinny horses that nobody gives anything for and make them into something again. I did that many times in Brazil.
